Egyptian striker Mostafa Mohamed has returned to the Turkish league after signing a contract with Konyaspor following his departure from French club Nantes on Tuesday evening.
Mostafa Mohamed left Nantes, which was relegated to the French second division, and joined Konyaspor on a three-year contract as announced.

Mostafa Mohamed previously played in the Turkish league wearing a Turkish league jersey, so he is well aware of the atmosphere of playing in that competition amidst large crowds.
Thus, Mostafa Mohamed joins his compatriot, star Mohamed Salah, who moved to the Turkish league last August through Trabzonspor.

The match between Trabzonspor and Konyaspor, marking the first encounter between Mohamed Salah and Mostafa Mohamed, will take place on Saturday, September 12, at 5:00 PM Cairo and Saudi time.
This match between the two teams is part of Group Five of the 2026/27 Turkish league season and will be held at Konyaspor's stadium.
