Cape Verde goalkeeper Fozinia received two offers from the Brazilian league, after his standout brilliance in the 2026 World Cup.
Fozinia became one of the most prominent phenomena in the 2026 World Cup, after his legendary performance with Cape Verde.
Transfer market specialist journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed that Fozinia received two Brazilian offers from the clubs Avaí and Atlético Goianiense, who compete in the second division.
Fozinia is currently a free agent, with the offers being discussed with his agents.
Fozinia reached the round of 32 of the 2026 World Cup in Cape Verde's first-ever historic participation in the tournament.
Cape Verde's national team had exited the tournament in the round of 32 in its first historic participation, against defending champions Argentina, who struggled greatly to overcome the ambitious African side and needed extra time plus a last-gasp goal to snatch qualification with a 3-2 scoreline.
According to press reports, the team will be received by an official government delegation at the airport, then will take part in a procession touring the streets of Praia.
The reception will conclude with official speeches, including one by veteran goalkeeper Fozinia, in addition to musical performances for the fans celebrating the historic achievement.
