One of the English clubs has reached an agreement with Manchester City to secure the services of goalkeeper James Trafford in the current summer transfer window for the year 2026.
James Trafford had joined Manchester City from Burnley in July 2025, but his role at the Etihad Stadium declined with the arrival of Gianluigi Donnarumma, who became the Italian's first choice.

Various press reports confirmed a short while ago that Leeds United reached an agreement with Manchester City to sign James Trafford in the summer transfer window of that year, before the new season.
It stated that the financial value of James Trafford's transfer to Leeds United amounts to 40 million pounds sterling, in addition to add-ons, representing a record as the most expensive deal in the club's history, as well as the most expensive English goalkeeper.
Trafford will also become the fifth most expensive goalkeeper in football history after Kepa, Alisson Becker, Buffon and Andre Onana.
