The Moroccan newspaper "Al-Batoula" revealed the date for holding the draw for the preliminary rounds of the African Champions League for the new season.
The newspaper confirmed that the confederation has set August 6 as a preliminary date for holding the draw for the preliminary rounds of the African Champions League, with the Egyptian capital Cairo scheduled to host the draw ceremony.
This comes after the closure of the club competitions registration system and the approval of the final lists of participating teams by the national federations.
The newspaper added that the file on increasing the number of clubs participating in the African Champions League and Confederation Cup has been definitively closed, after the CAF Club Competitions Committee rejected the Egyptian Football Association's proposal to amend the competition system during the 2026-2027 season.
The Moroccan newspaper indicated that Moroccan football will be represented in the next edition of the African Champions League by Nahdat Berkane and Maghreb Fes, while both Pyramids and Zamalek will participate in the tournament as representatives of Egyptian clubs.
