Queiroz said in a statement on his official Facebook account: "Football, like life, teaches us an eternal lesson, either you win or you learn. I leave this journey proud of what we have achieved, but also with a healthy dissatisfaction for those who always wanted more."

He added: "Reaching a higher level should not be the destination, but rather the beginning of greater ambitions. The future of the Black Stars will not be built only on the field."

He continued: "The success of the Black Stars must start off the field, by creating the best possible environment to prepare, protect, and develop the extraordinary football talents in Ghana."

The Portuguese coach thanked the Ghanaian Football Association's board of directors, saying: "To my president and the board, thank you very much for the opportunity to serve the Ghana national football team. It was an honor and a privilege to serve the nation and the Black Stars."

He continued: "To the players and staff, I express my gratitude for your courage, commitment, and unwavering dedication to the team."

Finally, the coach concluded his statements by sending a message to the fans, saying: "To the fans, we cannot claim complete sporting satisfaction, but we can proudly say that we respected Ghana's colors and restored respect and credibility to the Black Stars on the greatest stages of football. Thank you, Ghana, your journey to create the future begins now."
