Media personality Ahmed Shobier commented on the future of the first-team football player at Zamalek, offering advice to him and football players in Egypt, emphasizing that no matter how long a player's career lasts, it will eventually end, and they must think about their future after retirement.
Shobier said in a statement via his radio program: "It is very important for Fetouh to be aware of the blessings he has. He played in the World Cup and is one of the captains of Zamalek Club. Yes, he is injured and has swelling in his foot, but he must preserve these blessings. My advice to all players in Egypt is: no matter how old you get, you will retire from football. Even if you reach 54 years old, the player who lasted the longest in Egyptian football was Essam El-Hadary, and in the end, he retired and worked in the field of coaching".
He continued: "Therefore, a player must be careful to maintain a good reputation, perform on the field at 100%, and be diligent in reviewing their level and calculations and adhering to instructions. Captain Hassan Hamdy always told us that this is the most beautiful period of your lives. Do your best to stay on the field for as long as possible... Enjoy football as much as you can".

He added: "I hope players will listen to this, whether it is Ahmed Fetouh, Emam Ashour, or everyone else, because in the end, your journey in football will end. So, you must think about the future. You might become the club president, football director, or a coach. It is also possible that you become nothing and have no value. You are the one who chooses. Livelihoods are in God's hands, but the wise person is the one who thinks about the future".
He concluded: "When I retired from football, I said I wanted to become a media professional. They used to ask me if I meant a commentator? I would say no... a media professional, because there were no sports media professionals or analysts at the time. I was waiting for the opportunity, then I started moving on my own until I reached what I wanted".
He finished: "Throughout that time, I was thinking, reading, studying, and attending lectures. I have a bachelor's degree, but I wanted to work in the media field. So, I am offering this advice to players, and I hope God will make them listen to at least 1% of what I say".
