The International Football Federation "FIFA" announced the appointment of an Egyptian refereeing crew led by international referee Amin Omar to officiate the match between Saudi Al-Ahli and New Zealand's Auckland City, within the competitions of the Intercontinental Cup.
It is scheduled that Saudi Al-Ahli will meet its counterpart Auckland City at Al-Inma Stadium in the Saudi city of Jeddah on Wednesday, August 26, within the competitions of the tournament.
The Egyptian crew includes international referee Amin Omar as the field referee, assisted by assistant referees Mahmoud Abu Al-Rijal and Ahmed Hossam Taha, while Mahmoud Naji assumes the role of the fourth referee, Mahmoud Ashour as the video assistant referee, and Tarek Magdy as the assistant video assistant referee.
The decision of the International Football Federation comes as confirmation of the confidence enjoyed by Egyptian refereeing competencies on the international stage.
The Egyptian crew was chosen to officiate the important match between Saudi Al-Ahli and Auckland City within a series of international assignments obtained by it led by Amin Omar in recent years.
