A source at Al-Ittihad Alexandria club told Batootat: "Initial rumors have confirmed that Ahmed Adel Dola, a player for Al-Ittihad Alexandria and the Egyptian national basketball team, suffered an anterior cruciate ligament tear."

The source added: "The injury occurred after the match between the Egyptian national team and Portugal held during the training camp in Turkey."

The source concluded: "The player is undergoing an MRI scan to confirm the injury and determine the required treatment duration before returning to the court."

The Egyptian national team delegation in Turkey includes 15 players: Amr El-Gendi, Omar Tarek, Ehab Amin, Anas Osama, Ahmed Adel, Mido Taha, Malek Aboul-Fotouh, Khaled Abdel-Nasser, Ali Omar, Adam Moussa, Ibrahim Zahran, Omar El-Sheikh, Hamd Fathy, Patrick Gardner, and Mohab Yasser.
