Initial diagnostic tests revealed that Ahmed Adel "Dola," a player for the Egyptian national basketball team, has suffered an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear, as FilGoal.com has learned.
The Al-Ittihad Alexandria player sustained the injury during Egypt's friendly match against Portugal at the training camp in Turkey.
Furthermore, FilGoal.com has learned that the player will return to Egypt tomorrow, Saturday.
The Egyptian national team delegation in Turkey includes 15 players: Amr El-Gendi, Omar Tarek, Ehab Amin, Anas Osama, Ahmed Adel, Mido Taha, Malek Aboul-Fotouh, Khaled Abdel-Nasser, Ali Omar, Adam Moussa, Ibrahim Zahran, Omar El-Sheikh, Hamd Fathy, Patrick Gardner, and Mohab Yasser.
The delegation also includes the technical, administrative, and medical staff: Augusti Busch (Head Coach), Alfred Busch and Rami Goneidy (Assistant Coaches), Sameh Salah (Administrative Manager), Islam Gomaa (Team Doctor), Abdelrahman El-Gallad (Performance Analyst), Ahmed Fayek (Strength and Conditioning Coach), and Ali Moussa (Recovery Specialist).
Mostafa Fawzi, a board member of the Egyptian Basketball Federation, is heading the national team delegation in Turkey.
