Jawhar Nabil, the Minister of Youth and Sports, along with officials from the Egyptian Football Association led by Engineer Hany Abo Rida, are leading efforts to persuade Mohamed Salah, the Trabzonspor player and captain of the Egyptian national team, to return to the Pharaohs' training camp.
A source told Batootat that there are attempts by FA officials and Jawhar Nabil to convince Mohamed Salah to rejoin the ongoing Egypt national team camp and participate in the match against South Africa following his recent dispute with the technical staff.
The technical staff of the Egyptian national team, led by Hossam Hassan, had decided to rest Mohamed Salah for yesterday's Tuesday match against South Sudan due to the artificial turf pitch.
The Football Association clarified in its statement that an agreement was reached between the Egyptian national team's technical staff and Mohamed Salah before the Angola match not to play against South Sudan, a decision preferred by the staff to protect the player.
