Egyptian professional Hamza Abdelkarim enjoyed a historic night after making his debut in the Spanish La Liga football championship with Barcelona's first team on Monday evening.
Barcelona played their third-round match of the 2026/27 La Liga season against Rayo Vallecano at Camp Nou stadium, securing a 5-2 victory.

Coach Hans Flick brought on Hamza Abdelkarim as a substitute in the 85th minute following the exit of star player Raphinha, who continued his outstanding performance this season by scoring two goals.
After the match, Hamza Abdelkarim was seen extremely happy, exchanging hugs and warm greetings with his family, who have always supported him in Spain since he turned professional with Barcelona earlier this year.

Hamza Abdelkarim joined Barcelona from Al-Ahly on loan last February, before the permanent purchase clause was activated that summer.
Hamza Abdelkarim shone during the pre-season preparations under Hans Flick, becoming Barcelona's top scorer in the preparatory matches with 4 goals.
Hamza Abdelkarim was on the substitutes' bench in the previous two matches against Elche and Athletic Bilbao, before making his historic La Liga debut yesterday.
