Mohamed Salah brings Milan star closer to joining Trabzonspor

Via Btolat

Turkish media reports indicated that Egyptian star Mohamed Salah is bringing a Milan player closer to joining Trabzonspor to bolster the Turkish team's squad this summer.

Santiago Giménez, the Milan star who joined from Feyenoord mid-last season for €30.2 million, missed the matches against Torino and Venezia due to an ankle injury.

Although Santiago Giménez has a contract with Milan until 2029, his departure from the Italian club is almost certain.

According to Turkish journalist Furkan Yilmaz, Portugal's Porto showed interest in signing the Mexican striker but withdrew due to a significant gap in ongoing negotiations over the transfer fee with Milan, despite Giménez agreeing to join the Portuguese club.

Milan seeks to recover the financial amount it paid to acquire Giménez for €30 million, while Porto wants to sign him on loan with an option to buy and refuses to pay this sum.

Trabzonspor and Dutch club PSV Eindhoven have joined the race to sign the player, and the Mexican striker is now seriously considering offers available from Turkey, Portugal, and the Netherlands.

Giménez needs to settle at his new European destination after being excluded from Milan's future plans, and the presence of Mohamed Salah at Trabzonspor represents a very attractive and ambitious option for the player.
