Lionel Messi, the star of American club Inter Miami, has returned to his team's training sessions for the first time since participating in the 2026 World Cup with his country's national team, Argentina.
American journalist Jose Armando, who specializes in Inter Miami club affairs, stated that Messi has resumed training with his team after returning to Fort Lauderdale in the early hours of this morning.
Jose Armando explained via his official account on the social media platform Twitter that the Argentine star arrived in the city around five o'clock in the morning, before heading shortly afterward to the club's headquarters to participate in the training session with his teammates.
The American journalist added that Inter Miami's captain is now fully fit and is expected to be available for the team's opening match in the Leagues Cup against Mexican side Atletico San Luis.
The Major League Soccer association had previously approved exempting Lionel Messi from participating in the All-Star match scheduled for the coming hours due to his participation in the World Cup.
It is noted that Lionel Messi had led the Argentina national team to second place in the 2026 World Cup after losing in the final to Spain by a goal to nil.
