Lionel Messi topped the World Cup top scorers list with 7 goals, the latest of which was against Cape Verde, breaking the tie with Frenchman Kylian Mbappe, who came in second with 6 goals.
Erling Haaland (309 minutes) occupied third place in the World Cup top scorers list with 5 goals, surpassing Harry Kane (394 minutes) who had the same tally, due to playing fewer minutes in the tournament.
Ousmane Dembele's team came in fifth place (4 goals), followed by Mikel Oyarzabal (4 goals), Vinicius Junior (4 goals), and Ismaila Sarr (4 goals), each surpassing the other based on minutes played.
