Mohamed El-Bassouny, the president of Mansoura Club, announced that he has filed a complaint with the Football Association regarding the events of the team's match against Farco in the second round of the Professional League.
Mansoura had withdrawn from the match against Farco in protest of the refereeing decisions, while the score was showing Farco leading 2-0.
El-Bassouny said via the club's official page: "We withdrew from the match against Farco and we accept the penalties. The board of directors has decided to pay a performance bonus to the players and cover all financial fines imposed on the club."
The president of Mansoura added, "We will continue to defend the club's rights. What is happening from the referees' committee is a serious error, and we are dealing with the Football Association officially."
He continued, "We have filed complaints in accordance with the current regulations, and these traditional, stagnant regulations must be changed. If damage is proven to have occurred, the match must be replayed."
El-Bassouny added, "We will stand behind the team in the next match, and the administration will bear all the consequences. We are responsible for this file with the official authorities."
The president of Mansoura also announced that he is working on establishing a special league for Second Division clubs.
He concluded, "The state of excitement and cohesion within Dakahlia Governorate between the board of directors, the fans, and the members of the general assembly proves that we are on the right path. Thank you for your support of Mansoura Club."
