Rio Ngumoha scored Liverpool's only goal 15 minutes before the end of the match, after a powerful shot from inside the penalty area that deceived the goalkeeper and fell into the net.

This was the second match for Andoni Iraola, Liverpool's new coach.
Liverpool had previously secured a 4-1 victory against Sunderland, while they are scheduled to face Leeds United on Sunday in Chicago.
Dominik Szoboszlai wore the captain's armband against Wrexham.
