The Serbian coach Vuk Rašović is close to assuming the position of technical director of the first football team at Zamalek Club during the upcoming sports season, succeeding the previous technical staff led by Moatamed Jamal.
Rašović is expected to arrive in Cairo within 48 hours, in preparation for leading the Zamalek team and beginning his mission in readiness for the new season, after the board of directors headed by Hussein Labib neared finalizing the contract with the Serbian coach.
Rašović was born on January 3, 1973 (53 years old), and played for many clubs starting from Partizan Belgrade Club, the Serbian Rad Club, Bulgarian Slavia Sofia, Russian Krylia Sovetov, and American Kansas City Wizards.
The Serbian coach began his coaching career in 2006 as an assistant coach for the Serbian Partizan team, then served as technical director for Teleoptik in 2011, in his first experience in this position.
Rašović returned to coach Partizan in 2013, but as technical director and succeeded in winning the Serbian League title, and also took charge of Belarusian Dynamo Minsk in 2015.
He coached many Arab clubs, most notably Al-Faisaly and Al-Fayha in Saudi Arabia, and Al-Dhafra, Al-Wahda, and Ittihad Kalba in the UAE.
His experience with Emirati Ittihad Kalba is considered his last coaching stop, where he coached the team in 48 matches, winning 13 matches, drawing 13, but losing 22 matches.
