English Liverpool has reached an agreement to loan one of Spanish Barcelona's players, in a surprise deal to bolster the team's defensive line, as part of the current summer transfer window, according to a press report.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, there is a verbal agreement between Liverpool and Barcelona regarding Araujo's transfer on loan.
Romano added that the sports director of the Catalan club, Deco, approved the completion of the deal.

Araujo is expected to join Liverpool, to be a new addition to the team's defensive line, in a deal that Romano described as a surprise.
Araujo had largely fallen out of the calculations of Barcelona's German coach, Hans Flick, who prefers to rely on Pau Cubarsi and Gerard Martin primarily in the heart of the defense, during the next season.
