Italian club Juventus has suffered a painful blow regarding their Turkish playmaker Kenan Yildiz.
Yildiz sustained an injury to his left foot during Juventus's match against Frosinone.
Giorgio Chiellini, head of club affairs at Juventus, told Sky: "Official statements detailing Kenan Yildiz's injury will be issued in the coming days; however, he will undergo surgery and will be sidelined for several months."
He added, "It is a serious injury, but it will not have a permanent impact on his career."
Yildiz left the field in the 69th minute during the match, which Juventus won 1-0 in the first round of the Italian Serie A.
Last season, Yildiz scored 10 goals in 36 Serie A appearances. He also represented the Turkish national team at the 2026 World Cup, from which the team was eliminated in the group stage.
Juventus finished last season in sixth place in the Serie A standings and is preparing to face Parma on Saturday in the second round of the tournament.
