Roberto Firmino, the Al Sadd striker, spoke about his relationship with his former teammates Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mané, as well as his manager Jürgen Klopp, during his time at Liverpool.
Roberto Firmino joined Liverpool in 2015 and remained until 2023, winning seven titles, most notably the 2020 Premier League and the 2019 Champions League.
Firmino said in an interview with "The Athletic": "It worked brilliantly because Salah, Mané, and I had complementary attributes."
He added: "We could score and create. We had a great understanding regarding our positions on the pitch and where we preferred the ball to be. It was a pleasure playing alongside them. We all worked hard and always put the team first."

He continued about Mo Salah: "I wish Mo Salah all the best as he starts a new chapter in Turkey after joining Trabzonspor. He broke many records at Liverpool. We made history together by winning all the titles, and we were lucky to have a great manager like Klopp."
Firmino expressed his immense happiness at seeing Klopp return to management to lead Germany, succeeding Julian Nagelsmann: "We sometimes exchange messages on Instagram. I owe a lot to Klopp, as he helped me greatly in my career."
He added: "It wasn't easy for me at first when I joined Liverpool, but he truly believed in me. He told me how important I was to the team. It's great to see him return to management. He needed a break after many years at Liverpool, and I expected him to come back eventually."
He continued: "Managing the German national team is a good opportunity for Klopp. He is a person with a lot of positive energy and is good at getting the best out of players. He also helps you reach your full potential. I am confident that he will achieve great success with the national team."
Firmino was asked about retiring from football, as he will turn 35 next October: "I admit that preparing for each new season is getting harder, but I still feel the same sensation every time I step onto the pitch. I am very grateful and want to continue for as long as possible. As long as I am in good shape and can perform well, I will stay on the pitch. Why not play for another four or five years, even until I am 40? Yes, perhaps we will see what God's plan holds."
He concluded about his return to Anfield: "I will definitely return at some point. It is a very special place. I would really like to come back and play in a charity match as part of the Liverpool Legends, and I will be there if I am invited."
