Khaled El-Ghandour, former Zamalek star, revealed that Hossam Hassan, head coach of the Egyptian national team, is monitoring one of the White Knights' players in preparation for calling him up.
Khaled El-Ghandour stated on OnSport Radio: "Hossam Hassan, head coach of the Egyptian national team, has begun monitoring Zamalek striker Hossam Ashraf."
He added: "Hossam Hassan has become convinced by the Zamalek striker and his movements inside the penalty area, especially given his proficiency in heading and shooting with both his right and left feet."

He continued: "There is a possibility he will join the national team camp on September 17, especially if he shines in Zamalek's upcoming matches."
Currently, Zamalek is preparing to face AS Port, champions of Djibouti, in the first leg of the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.
