Ibrahim Hassan, manager of the Egyptian senior national football team, confirmed that a friendly match has been decided upon as part of the preparations for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
During its current September camp, the Egyptian national team will play two matches: against Angola on September 25 at Cairo Stadium, and then against South Sudan on September 29 in Juba, South Sudan, in the first and second rounds of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

According to the official website of the Football Association, "Hassan" stated that Egypt will face South Africa in a friendly match at 9:00 PM on October 4 next, as part of the preparations for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The manager of the senior national team added that Cairo Stadium will officially host the friendly match between Egypt and South Africa.
It is worth noting that the Egyptian Football Association had previously announced the extension of Hossam Hassan's contract as the head coach of the Egyptian national team, allowing him to remain in his position until 2030.
