Ismail Saibari, the Moroccan national team striker, suffered a strain injury in the 22nd minute and was substituted, with Sofiane Rahimi taking his place.

The Moroccan star has scored 3 goals in the 2026 World Cup so far.

The 25-year-old striker officially moved to the ranks of German club Bayern Munich this summer, for 50 million euros, coming from Dutch club Eindhoven.

The Atlas Lions won in the round of 32 against the Netherlands, on penalties, with a score of 3-2, last Tuesday morning.

In contrast, the Canadian team qualified for the round of 16 by defeating South Africa, with a score of 1-0.

It is worth noting that the winner of the Morocco-Canada match will meet the qualifier from the France-Paraguay match.
