Ibrahim Hassan, Egypt national team manager, believes that the Pharaohs' fans deserve to receive the best award from the International Football Association "FIFA".

Egypt's national team bid farewell to the World Cup from the round of 16 after a thrilling defeat to Argentina.

Ibrahim Hassan, Egypt national team manager, said via On Sport: "The Egyptian fans deserve to receive the award for the best fans in the World Cup from FIFA, after they traveled long distances and attended all matches in large numbers".

He added "Hossam Hassan is a great and technically strong coach, and he gives the players something like a final review before every match".

He continued "Hossam Hassan was keen during the technical lecture before facing Argentina to refer to Messi as 'player number 10' without mentioning his name, in order to give the players the greatest amount of confidence and focus, and to emphasize that there are no differences, and that the opponent does not rely on one player only".

He revealed "I got into an argument with Messi because they were provoking us. He is a 'cold' player and was trying to ignite the atmosphere, and he reached the technical area designated for us, to the extent that Saafan was exposed to expulsion because of him".

He stressed "Mohamed Hany impressed me in the match against Belgium, especially since he was facing a dangerous player, one of the best players in the world in his position, Jeremy Doku. He delivered a big match and proved his abilities".

He concluded his statements "We have no conditions for renewing our contract with the Egypt national team, and even if we receive higher offers, the Egypt national team has priority and our goal is always to present the best we have for it".

Hani Abu Rida, President of the Egyptian Federation, announced the approval of the Federation's Board of Directors to renew the contract with Hossam Hassan, the technical director of the Egypt national team.

Hossam Hassan assumed the coaching of the Egypt national team in February 2024 and began his journey with the Egypt national team in March with a match against New Zealand.

Since then, the Brigadier has led the Egypt national team in 35 matches, winning 19, drawing 10 and losing 5.

The Egyptian national team finished second in the seventh group with 5 points, behind the Belgian national team by a point difference.

In the group stage, the Egyptian national team drew against Belgium and Iran, and won against New Zealand 3-1.

While the Pharaohs achieved victory against Australia in the round of 32 on penalties, before losing to the defending champions Argentina in the round of 16
