Lionel Scaloni, coach of the Argentine national team, apologized to the Tango fans once again, following the team's loss in the World Cup final last week to Spain.

Scaloni confirmed that, along with the rest of the Argentine players, they had done their utmost to please the fans.
Scaloni wrote on his official Instagram account: "After a busy week in which feelings of sadness and joy, tears and smiles, pain and serenity, tension and calm were mixed, I can finally sit down and write a few words, although you know that I am not a fan of social media, but this may be the best way to communicate with you".

He added: "All I can say is that I am sorry that I could not bring you another cup and give you a new joy, a joy that might make you forget, even for a few days, all that is bad in life, but I want you to remember what we tried to show this group of players, these warriors, as I used to call them when I spoke about them in front of my wife".
Scaloni explained: "The effort, the desire, the will, and every player's saying: 'I can do it', and refusing to give up even in the most difficult circumstances, and doing everything in our power, even when we have nothing left, and bearing the harsh criticism from people who do not know us, and the balance, and the will to continue when our feet betray us, this is the real cup".
