Media personality Ahmed Shoubra confirmed that Hussein Amouta, the head coach of the first football team at Al Ahly, is facing a new crisis after one of the players suffered an injury that disrupted all his plans.
Shoubra said in a statement via his radio program: "Today at 10 a.m., Hussein Amouta brought Iman Eshour along with a number of players to participate in training, especially since they had been delayed due to injuries or incomplete physical fitness."
He continued: "Among them is Mahmoud Salah, who is undergoing rehabilitation training, and also Mohamed Abdullah. However, the news that greatly upset Al Ahly club and Hussein Amouta is that Karim El-Debes, after the match against El-Sharkia, participated in the game against Enppi and was in good condition. But he told them: 'I have a cramp.' After undergoing X-rays, it was confirmed that he is suffering from a mild strain and will be absent for about a week."
He added: "As a result, the left-back position has become a headache for the team. Karim Fawad is a good player, but this is not his natural position. When El-Debes participated, he performed well, and everyone expected him to be the main player for this position."
He continued: "Hussein Amouta is now suffering from a headache because Youssef El-Balomy suffered a cruciate ligament injury, Mohamed Shokri left the club, and Karim El-Debes is suffering from a strain. Therefore, the current consideration is whether Ahmed Nabil Koka will play as a left-back or if Karim Fawad will continue."
He concluded: "These matters have caused problems for Hussein Amouta, especially since Ahmed Khaled Kabaaka is also suffering from a front muscle injury, and Mohamed Abdullah is suffering from ankle pain. The left-back position at Al Ahly (has a strange story); I don't understand what is happening with it."
