Hossam Abdel Magid, a player for Bulgaria's Ludogorets and the Egyptian national team, affirmed that moving abroad is an important step for him, expressing his desire to transfer to a stronger league in the future.
Abdel Magid stated in remarks to the program "Odet El Lebs" on Al-Nahar Channel: "Moving abroad is an important step for me; it's a move to a good league. The atmosphere here during training is completely different; I missed these aspects in Egypt. Step by step, God willing, I will aim for a better league. I want to make Ashraf Belaly proud and perform well."
He continued: "It was said that I would cross the bridge [leave Zamalek], but I am not thinking about that. My ambition has been to play abroad for four years. However, people are excused because they haven't seen a player from Zamalek's youth academy go abroad and then return. We saw Mostafa Mohamed shine, and all steps toward playing abroad are beneficial for the Egyptian national team."

He revealed: "Zamalek players are in an enviable position; they didn't start a preparation period like other teams, yet they are giants and won the league."
When asked who would replace Hossam Abdel Magid, he replied: "We were all one team at Zamalek, and Zamalek will not depend solely on Hossam Abdel Magid or any other player. Osama Faisal is a very distinguished player who can benefit Zamalek, and Mohamed Sayed is also a very talented player who could soon join the Egyptian national team."
Regarding his view on continuing with Moataz Gamal as head coach, he commented: "The decision is appropriate; he knows the players best, and ultimately, it is Zamalek's own sons who will carry the burden."
Discussing Egypt's performance in the World Cup, Hossam said: "What we achieved in the World Cup is the greatest proof of our ability to reach farthest points and that we possess outstanding players, despite refereeing errors."
Concerning Hossam Hassan's role, he noted: "Captain Hossam Hassan possesses enthusiasm and spirit that he transfers to the players. He always told us that we are capable. He never spoke personally about Messi; instead, he referred to him as 'Player Number 10,' emphasizing that we have great players like Mohamed Salah and Omar Marmoush."
He concluded his remarks by praising Mohamed Salah's role: "Salah doesn't need me to speak about him; he is a towering figure on the pitch with a remarkable history in Europe. His presence on the field forces opponents to 'take us very seriously,' and his involvement is crucial because he lifts a huge burden off the other players."
