Hazem Imam, the former Zamalek star, spoke about his position regarding his presence in the football company of the White Castle.
Hazem Imam said, via On Sport Max channel: "The names circulating regarding the football company at Zamalek are not strangers to the club; they have been helping Zamalek for many years".
He added: "They pay money to the club and help at the current time and not for any other purpose".
He continued: "There is nothing official regarding my presence in the football company, and everything that was raised was just talk. I have not seen any board member, nor have I spoken with them or sat with them".
He continued: "I see no problem in investors obtaining a larger percentage of shares in Zamalek's football company".
He went on: "I have not spoken with John Edward since winning the league title, nor have I sat with him. The football company file may have been one of the reasons for his departure. He is good, and the board helped him by not interfering in his work".
He continued: "We spoke with Hossam El-Zanati before contracting John Edward, and that was before his work in Denmark. He possesses great experience through his work abroad, and his view is distinctive in selecting players".
He added: "I am worried about Moataz Jamal in the next season because the circumstances are tougher, and I hope the fans will be patient with him if the start of the season is not good".
He continued: "Moataz Jamal had a wonderful season with Zamalek. The next season will be tougher and the circumstances difficult for him. He has been waiting all this time; if he were another coach and not one of Zamalek's sons, he would have left. I hope the fans will be patient with him if the start of the season is not good".
He went on: "If Zamalek faces Sundowns in the African Champions League, they will be the toughest opponent. The only team that has succeeded in dealing with them well is Pyramids".
He added: "Sundowns needs a specific type of players, elements not present at Zamalek, and it is possible we could play a good match against them".
He pointed out: "Any team facing Zamalek in the African Champions League will be afraid of you because they do not know what you have as the league champion last season over Al Ahly and Pyramids. Zamalek instills fear, and you must exploit this fear on the pitch".
He said: "Seif El-Din El-Jaziri has given Zamalek a lot; he is a big, respectable player, and it is a good thing to leave in a dignified manner".
He continued: "Hussein El-Sayed, there are not many like him who pay a lot of money to Zamalek, and despite that he has not come out and spoken. I love him very much, and I loved him even more when I learned what he does. He wants to help and serve the club".
He concluded: "I wish Moataz Jamal success, and we are all behind him and supporting him. I advise him to love yourself and work for the general good of the team".
