Happiness was evident on the face of Hamza Abdel Karim, Barcelona FC player, after he scored his first official goal for the Egyptian national team in the match between the Pharaohs and South Sudan, part of the qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Egyptian national team defeated its South Sudanese counterpart with a score of (5-0), within the second round of the Africa Cup of Nations final tournament qualifiers. The match was held at Juba National Stadium.

Hamza Abdel Karim succeeded in scoring the first official goal of his professional career, which came while wearing the Egypt national team jersey against South Sudan, in the match played at Juba National Stadium.
Egyptian national team player Ibrahim Adel advanced down the left flank before unleashing a powerful shot that was parried by the South Sudan goalkeeper. The rebound fell to Hamza Abdel Karim, who did not hesitate to find the back of the net, occurring in the 90th minute.
Hamza Abdel Karim had never previously scored for Barcelona in any official match, having netted four goals but during Blaugrana’s pre-season preparation period before the start of the current season.
Abdel Karim featured for Barcelona for only four minutes this season, while Hossam Hassan chose to include the young player in the national team camp, enabling the 18-year-old to score the first goal of his career.
