According to what FilGoal.com learned, Al Ahly raised its offer to sign Monsef Bakkar by decision from Dinamo Zagreb to 2 million and 800 thousand dollars.
The Croatian club also reduced its financial demands, and negotiations between the two parties are still ongoing.
Al Ahly seeks to bolster its attack in preparation for the season under the leadership of Moroccan Hussein Ammouta, having signed Oktay Abdullah and Ali Mahmoud from Enppi.
Monsef Bakkar began his career with ES Sétif before moving to Croatian club Istra in the summer of 2022.
Bakkar then moved to New York City in the summer of 2023, before returning to the Croatian league via Dinamo Zagreb last summer.
The 25-year-old played 42 matches with Dinamo Zagreb, scoring 18 goals and providing 7 assists in all competitions.
Internationally, he represented the Algerian national team in 7 matches and scored two goals.
