Jamie Vardy, the former England and Leicester City striker, has become the owner of the broadcasting rights for some Bundesliga matches, starting with the opening fixture between Bayern Munich and Stuttgart.
The Athletic reported that Vardy’s YouTube channel, “Jamie Vardy’s Having a Party,” which launched in June, will broadcast seven Bundesliga matches live this season, all on Friday evenings, starting with this week’s season opener between defending champions Bayern Munich and Stuttgart.
Vardy has become the new owner of the live broadcasting rights for Bundesliga matches in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Vardy, 39, is currently a free agent after leaving Cremonese this summer, having scored seven goals in 29 matches for the Italian side, which he joined from Leicester City a year ago, but he was unable to prevent their relegation from the Italian first division.
The Bundesliga witnessed a first in 2025, becoming the first major European league to grant live broadcasting rights in the United Kingdom to content creators.
