Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola discussed how close the club is to finalizing a new signing to replace Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, who left Anfield last June.
Mohamed Salah decided to leave Liverpool that summer, one year before his contract expired, subsequently joining Trabzonspor.
Liverpool has been linked with several players to replace Mohamed Salah, most notably Paris Saint-Germain's Bradley Barcola. Media reports indicate the club is close to securing him for £120 million.

When asked about the latest developments in finding a replacement for Mohamed Salah, Iraola responded in statements published by England's TNT Sports: "I hope we are close, especially since we only have four or five days left in the summer transfer window."
He added: "We have been patient so far, and I think we need more of it. However, many things are already underway. We hope to announce matters soon because this position was among our priorities, especially after Mohamed Salah's departure."
He concluded: "Everyone knows we have a significant gap to fill; this has been the main focus of our efforts in the current transfer market."
