American three-point shooting star Armoni Brooks has returned to the spotlight in the European transfer market, after the suffocating financial crisis suffered by his new French team ASVEL Villeurbanne forced the club to back out of the agreement with him, despite signing a two-year contract with a salary exceeding two million euros annually.
The Spanish newspaper "AS" said that the 28-year-old player, who is 1.94 meters tall, is about to leave the French club, which is facing difficult times after a disastrous season in the EuroLeague in which it achieved only 8 wins against 30 losses, prompting it to make radical changes in its ranks.
The French team's financial problems have put Brooks on the verge of departure, and he is expected to be next on the list of departures after Francisco, as the player coming from Waco, Texas, has several tempting offers.
According to the Serbian press, Partizan Belgrade has withdrawn from the competition to sign the player, while the competition remains fierce between Real Madrid, Red Star Belgrade, and Valencia Basket.
