Former Liverpool club star Mohamed Salah warned against transferring to the ranks of Beşiktaş club, as the Egyptian international is about to sign with the Turkish club in a free transfer deal.

Beşiktaş has become very close to officially announcing the signing of Mohamed Salah in a free transfer deal, with a one-year contract, with the possibility of renewal for another year.

However, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, the former Liverpool star, believes that Mohamed Salah should think before moving to Beşiktaş, given the atmosphere of instability that the Turkish club has experienced over the past two years.

Chamberlain said in statements reported by the site "rousingthekop": "There were positive aspects, which is playing for Beşiktaş, and other aspects that I found difficult to adapt to because of what I was used to. I played for Arsenal and Liverpool for many years, and now I have a much greater appreciation for England and the Premier League, and how things are managed, how deals are completed, and how professional the system is".

He added: "Things are different there, club ownership, changing coaches, all are more volatile matters. It was a big shock for me, while some of the players I was playing with there were not concerned about the matter, and were more accustomed to these things. This is all they know, they have never played in England".

He explained: "Some of the things that happen there are different from what they are here. The fans have a much greater influence, as they frequent the training ground and constantly express their dissatisfaction".

He continued: "I did not mind any of that. It just needs some time to adapt. Coach changes, I think I dealt with eight coaches in two seasons. There were also four presidents. This, in addition to eight coaches, is difficult".

Chamberlain joined Beşiktaş in 2023, following the end of his contract with Liverpool.

Chamberlain played with Beşiktaş in 50 matches in all competitions, during which he scored five goals and provided one decisive pass.
