FIFA, the International Football Association, revealed a strong surprise regarding one of the Argentine national team players in the final of the 2026 World Cup against Spain, on Sunday evening.

The moments after the match witnessed assaults by a number of Argentine players against Spain, led by Leandro Paredes, as it was reported at the time that he received a red card, which actually appeared on FIFA's match tracking program.

But that matter turned out to be incorrect later, as FIFA confirmed to the global "BBC" network, where it explained that there was an error in the international federation's commentators' information system after including a red card for Paredes for pushing Spanish player Eric Garcia in his neck.
The red card for Paredes was deleted shortly after, while FIFA confirmed to the same network that no disciplinary action was taken against him at the mentioned time.
But that will not prevent FIFA from investigating what happened, as press reports yesterday confirmed the existence of an investigation into the altercations that occurred after the end of the match, with possible penalties in the coming period.
