According to the official ranking published by "FIFA" on its website, the Spanish national team topped the world ranking for the first time in years after winning the 2026 World Cup title following its 1-0 victory over Argentina in the final match, while Argentina dropped to second place after leading the ranking before the tournament.
France retained the third position despite finishing fourth in the tournament after losing to England 6-4 in the third-place match, while England jumped to fourth place after achieving its best result in World Cup history in 60 years, reaching the semi-finals and then winning third place.
Brazil dropped one place to occupy the fifth position after its disappointing exit from the round of 16, while Morocco jumped one place to occupy the sixth position, achieving the best ranking for an Arab and African team in the history of the "FIFA" ranking.

Egypt achieved the biggest Arab jump in the new ranking, rising 5 places at once to occupy the 24th position globally and the second position among Arab teams and the third among African teams (Senegal in 18th place globally), after its strong participation in the 2026 World Cup and reaching the round of 16.
