Ahmed Fatouh, the Zamalek and Egypt national team player, suffered an injury during the match against South Sudan in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Egypt defeated South Sudan 5-0 in the match played as part of the second round of the qualifiers.

As learned by FilGoal.com, Ahmed Fatouh's injury sustained in Egypt's match against South Sudan is a thigh contusion.

Fatouh fell at the start of the second half, holding his quadriceps muscle to request substitution, with Karim Hafez replacing him in the 53rd minute.

The Pharaohs' goals were scored by: Mostafa Abdel Raouf "Ziko", Omar Marmoush (two goals), Ibrahim Adel, and Hamza Abdel Karim, marking the Pharaohs' goals against South Sudan.

Egypt raised its tally to 4 points, temporarily topping Group Two standings, after drawing in the first round against Angola.
