Former French international Thierry Henry has warned English club Liverpool about their signing of fellow countryman Bradley Barcola.
Liverpool signed Barcola from French side Paris Saint-Germain during last summer's transfer window in a record-breaking deal.
Henry believes that if Liverpool optimally utilizes Barcola's strengths, the player, valued at £125 million, could bring a transformative impact to the Premier League.
The Reds paid Paris Saint-Germain €145 million for the French forward, who signed a contract until 2031, making him Liverpool's second-most expensive signing in history.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Henry said: "The key with Barcola lies in how he is utilized. Can individual opportunities be created for him? Can he be involved in counter-attacks? Because he is lightning fast."
Henry warned Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola against overburdening Barcola with defensive duties that might weaken his attacking capabilities, stating: "Does he have to defend more than attack? That could be counterproductive for him."
The former France U21 coach added: "I would say Barcola needs to improve his finishing. If he does that, many teams will struggle to stop him."
For his part, former Liverpool player Jamie Carragher stated that Barcola adds a much-needed magical touch to the Premier League, although he expressed doubts about the overall balance of Liverpool's squad.
