The veteran Brazilian star Fabinho, former midfielder of Saudi Al-Ittihad Jeddah, opened the door wide to the possibility of returning to the ranks of Spanish Real Madrid.
Fabinho seeks to decide his next destination, after the end of his journey in Saudi stadiums at the end of last season, after spending 3 successful seasons with Al-Ittihad Jeddah.
Fabinho flirts with Real Madrid
Fabinho, who has become a free agent and is not associated with any club currently, expressed his great enthusiasm for returning to Real Madrid, where he said in statements to the Spanish program "El Chiringuito": "Real Madrid?! Who doesn't want to play for Real Madrid?".
He added: "It is the biggest team in the world, I have plenty of time to think about the matter and discuss it with my agent", and this comes due to the Brazilian star having a special relationship with the officials of the Royal Club.
Real Madrid is considered the player's first gateway to emergence in European stadiums, starting from 2012 when he joined the reserve team "Castilla" coming from Portuguese Rio Ave.
Fabinho's star shone globally with French Monaco, then he made history as one of the best defensive midfielders in the world with English Liverpool, with whom he won the 2019 UEFA Champions League title.
Fabinho (32 years old) had joined Saudi Al-Ittihad in the summer of 2023 in a huge deal worth 46 million euros, where he achieved amazing successes with the Brigadier, before leaving this summer upon the expiration of his contract.
Despite the explicit flirting from the Brazilian player, the reports coming from the stronghold of "Los Blancos" indicate that Real Madrid's management does not put signing Fabinho within its current calculations.
The Royal Club's management is focusing its full attention at the present time on reducing the current squad and getting rid of unnecessary players, before resorting to concluding new deals to strengthen the midfield.
