Trabzonspor, the team in which Egyptian international Mohamed Salah plays, resumed its group training sessions at the facilities of the Mehmet Ali Yılmaz Stadium, in preparation for the upcoming match against Amidespor.
Trabzonspor is set to play an important and tough match against Amidespor, away from home, in the third round of the 2026/2027 Turkish Super Lig season.
Head coach Fatih Tekke led the training session, which saw the players divided into two groups; the players who started the recent match against Ferencváros underwent recovery and rehabilitation exercises to relieve physical fatigue.
Trabzonspor's management had previously rejected head coach Fatih Tekke's resignation, which he submitted following the loss in the European League qualifying playoff, after a 4-0 aggregate defeat to Hungary's Ferencváros.
Meanwhile, the other groups completed a training session that began with a warm-up and fitness drills, before moving on to tactical aspects through passing exercises in tight spaces, along with small-sided matches to assess the readiness of all players.
Trabzon's group training session featured the participation of Brazilian midfielder Fabinho, who joined during the ongoing summer transfer window on a free transfer from Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia.
The red and blue team will continue its training schedule with an expected session tomorrow, Saturday, at 5:00 PM local time, to intensify preparations ahead of the next match.
Trabzonspor has played two matches in the Turkish league so far, drawing the first against Kasımpaşa and winning the second against Istanbul Başakşehir with a score of 2-1.
