Enzo Fernández bid farewell to Chelsea FC fans ahead of announcing his departure from the London club, after his name was linked with a move to Manchester City during the summer transfer window, sending a lengthy message explaining his reasons.
Manchester City is expected to announce their signing of Enzo Fernández, according to newspaper reports and as stated by journalist Fabrizio Romano. The deal's value exceeds £125 million following prolonged negotiations; Chelsea has agreed to the sale, though no official announcement has been made yet.
Enzo Fernández wrote on his official Instagram account: "My dear Chelsea family, I want you to know that these days have not been easy for me, and writing this is not easy either. The truth is, I haven't been in a good place."
He added: "Three years ago, Cobham and Stamford Bridge became home for me and my family. I grew attached to the people, the shirt, and the badge of this historic club."
He continued: "Believe me when I say that from the moment I arrived, I became obsessed with winning and bringing every trophy this club deserves throughout its history. We suffered, we cried, and I got angry many times, but we also celebrated unforgettable titles and victories together, through thick and thin."
He went on: "I live football as I live my life—with passion and with all my heart. Therefore, I want you to know that I understand you, I truly understand you, from the bottom of my heart."

He explained: "But life is about decisions, and now I find myself forced to make one of those difficult choices. I've said it before, and I'd like to repeat it: my love for this club has grown immensely. Chelsea will always remain in my memory, and above all, in my heart."
He noted: "However, I also understand how things work in the world of football. I know your passion because I am just like you. If I were in your position, I might think the same way."
He continued: "I would like to thank you all—the administrative staff, the coaching team, the medical team, the physiotherapists, and everyone working at Cobham and throughout this great institution."
He added: "To all my teammates over these years, thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing so many wonderful moments with me. I have been truly happy here, and I wish you all the best for the future."
