Egypt's final basketball squad list in preparation for the African World Cup qualifiers

Spanish coach Augusti Bosch, head coach of the Egyptian national basketball team, announced the final squad list preparing to compete in the fourth window of the African qualifiers for the 2027 World Cup, hosted by the Senegalese capital "Dakar" from August 27 to 30.

Egypt is placed in a group featuring Angola, Mali, DR Congo, Côte d'Ivoire, and Senegal.

The competition follows a home-and-away format, with the group winner, runner-up, and the best third-placed team advancing to the World Cup finals.

The Pharaohs of Basketball enter the fourth window with nine points collected during the previous phase, starting their campaign in fifth place.

The final roster includes 12 players: Amr El-Gendy, Ehab Amin, Ibrahim Zahran, Omar El-Sheikh, Mohamed Taha, Adam Moussa, Ali Omar, Patrick Gardner, Omar Tarek, Hamd Fathy, Khaled Abdelnasser, and Anas Osama.

The national team is scheduled to play three crucial matches during the fourth window. Their campaign begins next Thursday against Senegal at 9:30 PM, followed by their second match next Saturday against Côte d'Ivoire at 3:30 PM. They will conclude their Dakar journey by facing DR Congo on Sunday at 3:30 PM. These are the teams they did not face during the previous phase.

Captain Tarek El-Saeed, Vice President of the Egyptian Basketball Federation, heads the Egyptian delegation in Dakar. The team's technical and administrative staff includes: Augusti Bosch (Head Coach), Alfred Bosch (Assistant Coach), Rami Genaidy (Assistant Coach), Islam Gomaa (Team Doctor), Ahmed Fayeq (Load Planner), Abdelrahman El-Gallad (Performance Analyst), Ali Moussa (Recovery Specialist), and Sameh Salah (Administrative Manager).
