The Confederation of African Football "CAF" announced the date and venue for the 2026 African Super Cup match, which brings together South African Mamelodi Sundowns and Algerian USM Alger.
Mamelodi Sundowns had won the African Champions League title last season, while USM Alger participates as the winner of the Confederation Cup.
Mamelodi Sundowns won the African Champions League title after defeating Morocco's Raja Club Athletic 2-1 on aggregate in the two legs of the final.

In turn, USM Alger won the African Confederation Cup title after defeating Zamalek on penalties, thus securing their participation in the African Super Cup match against the Champions League winners.
CAF stated in an official statement published today, Monday, on its website that the African Super Cup match will be held in Tshwane, South Africa, specifically at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria.
