Zlatko Dalic resigned from coaching the Croatian national team, after exiting the 2026 World Cup.
The Croatian national team bid farewell to the 2026 World Cup from the round of 32, with a 2-1 loss to Portugal at dawn last Thursday.
This was the last match for the 59-year-old coach after nearly 9 years leading the team.
The Croatian Football Federation said in an official statement: "Our dear coach, thank you for everything, the victories, the achievements, the qualification for tournaments, the medals, the unity, the respect, and your firm commitment to defending Croatia, on and off the pitch".
It added: "The results are the best proof of your coaching efficiency, and the respect you received from the players, the technical staff, and the competitors is the best proof of your character".
