Szczęsny is in his third season with the Catalan team after joining in the summer of 2024.
Szczęsny said in statements to the Spanish newspaper Sport about the Champions League: "I don't think it's the main goal, I always put the Spanish League first, because it's the competition in which you play the most matches, and which forces you to maintain the highest level consistently throughout the season".
He continued, "There are many teams capable of winning the Champions League, and we are one of them".
He added, "When you represent this club, you start every season dreaming of winning all the titles you compete for; last season we won two titles, and our goal this season is to win more".
He revealed, "I am the oldest and most experienced player in the team; I try to help the young players on and off the pitch".
Regarding Robert Lewandowski's departure, he said: "Now I have more time to speak Spanish, because I no longer have to speak to him in Polish; maybe that's an advantage".
He concluded his remarks about Ter Stegen: "He looks to be in very good shape; he had two difficult years due to injuries, but now he is performing at a very high level".
Szczęsny has won the Spanish League twice with Barcelona, the Spanish Cup once, and the Spanish Super Cup twice.
