The Argentine network TyC Sports revealed the cancellation of the morning training session for the Argentine national team, today, Saturday, due to thunderstorms that hit the city of Miami, before facing the Egyptian national team in the round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup.
The Argentine national team is scheduled to hold two training sessions on the field before traveling to Atlanta on Monday evening, in preparation for facing the Egyptian national team in the round of 16.
Cancellation of Argentina's training
The network explained that the training was canceled according to the protocol in place in the United States when there is electrical activity in the atmosphere, with the players contenting themselves with performing exercises inside the gym, following the exciting victory over Cape Verde and qualifying for the round of 16.
The Argentine national team was scheduled to hold its training at 11:15 a.m. local time, where the technical staff led by Lionel Scaloni planned to give the players who participated for more than 30 minutes recovery training, while the rest of the players would perform more intensive physical and technical training on the field.
Argentina's injuries before facing Egypt
TyC Sports added that the technical staff also intended to monitor the condition of three players who suffered physical problems during the Cape Verde match, namely Facundo Medina who suffered from muscle cramps, Enzo Fernandez who completed the match despite suffering cramps, and Nicolas Gonzalez who twisted his ankle during extra time.
