French coach Zinedine Zidane has announced his first squad for the European Championship matches.
The French national team is preparing to face Turkey, Belgium, and Italy.
The squad saw the exclusion of Malo Gusto (Chelsea), Aurélien Tchouaméni (Real Madrid), N'Golo Kanté (Fenerbahçe), and Lucas Hernández (Paris Saint-Germain).
For the first time, Jérémy Gaquet (Liverpool) and Luca Da Cunha (Como) were included.
Also returning to the French squad are Adrien Truffer (Bournemouth) after a four-year absence, Andy Diouf who has been absent since 2024, and Eduardo Camavinga (Real Madrid) who missed the 2026 World Cup.
The French squad is as follows:

Defenders: Andy Diouf (Inter Milan), Jérémy Gaquet (Liverpool), Pierre Kalulu (Juventus), Ibrahima Konaté (Real Madrid), Jules Koundé (Barcelona), Maxence Lacroix (Chelsea), Adrien Truffer (Bournemouth), Dayot Upamecano (Bayern Munich).
Midfielders: Eduardo Camavinga (Real Madrid), Ryan Cherki (Manchester City), Luca Da Cunha (Como), Manu Koné (Roma), Adrien Rabiot (Milan), Warren Zaïre-Emery (Paris Saint-Germain).
Forwards: Bradley Barcola (Liverpool), Ousmane Dembélé (Paris Saint-Germain), Désiré Doué (Paris Saint-Germain), Esteban Lepaul (Rennes), Kylian Mbappé (Real Madrid), Michael Olise (Bayern Munich).

Zidane took over the role following the departure of former coach Didier Deschamps after the conclusion of the 2026 World Cup, which was held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Zidane will remain with the French national team until the 2030 World Cup.
France exited the competition after losing 2-0 to Spain in the semi-finals.
France also lost to England 6-4 in the third-place match.
Spain won the 2026 World Cup with a goal by Ferran Torres against Argentina in the final.
