Portugal's Bruno Fernandes responded to the crisis that recently hit his national team, which ended with Cristiano Ronaldo leaving the squad's camp.

Cristiano Ronaldo left Portugal's training camp in Denmark on Wednesday, one day before facing Denmark in the third round of the UEFA Nations League.

Bruno Fernandes said at a press conference: "I don't need to talk to my teammates; each of us knows how to handle our own situations. There is an issue within the national team that has nothing to do with the players, and I believe the most important role we can play is delivering results on the pitch."

He added, "As for Cristiano Ronaldo, I have spoken with him, and what I told him is what I repeat here: The most important thing is that, regardless of what happens, Ronaldo will never stop being the greatest symbol of our national team and football in our country, due to what he has achieved not only in Portugal but around the world."

He emphasized, "Ronaldo has a reserved place among the best players in the history of football, as well as in the hearts of all Portuguese people. The most important thing is that we stop dividing matters; there are no divisions within the national team. We are one team and will remain so, despite any noise coming from outside."

He concluded his statements, "Every household should resolve its problems behind closed doors, and I believe this is the approach the national team should adopt, and I am confident it will continue to do so. I hope things end well."

The crisis began during the match between Portugal and Norway in the second round of Group 4 matches in the UEFA Nations League, which ended with Portugal winning 2-1 when Ronaldo did not participate in the game.

Portugal's captain did not train with the national team in recent sessions, and Jesus spoke at the press conference before the Denmark match criticizing Cristiano Ronaldo, leading the player to leave the national team camp after agreeing with the president of the Portuguese Football Federation.

The Portuguese newspaper "O Jogo" revealed that the player decided not to return to represent the Portuguese national team again and prefers to retire internationally.

Cristiano Ronaldo has played 234 matches for the Portuguese national team, scoring 146 goals and providing 45 assists.

He won the European Championship once and the UEFA Nations League twice with the Portuguese national team.

The Portuguese national team tops Group 4 with 9 points from three wins, achieving a perfect record.
