Tottenham Hotspur is close to finalizing a deal to sign Egyptian striker Omar Marmoush to bolster their attacking options, after reaching an agreement to acquire Savinho, the Manchester City winger.
Tottenham is now on the verge of announcing the signing of Omar Marmoush, having agreed with the Egyptian player on personal terms. British media reports indicated that the club has completed its agreement with Manchester City and is preparing to welcome the Egyptian star, who is expected to undergo a medical examination this week.
The British network "Football London" recalled advice given by Ahmed Hossam Mido, former Tottenham and Zamalek striker, to the club's management during Daniel Levy's tenure, recommending the signing of Omar Marmoush.

Previously, Tottenham had ignored Mido's advice regarding Omar Marmoush, after the former Spurs striker confirmed he had tried to convince Levy to sign both Mohamed Salah and the Manchester City forward.
Mido stated earlier on the "OnTime Sports" channel that he first urged Levy to pursue Salah when the latter was playing for Basel, before later advising him to sign Marmoush, who could have joined Tottenham years ago.
Regarding Salah and Marmoush, Mido said: "I sent a text message to Daniel Levy, Tottenham's chairman, with whom I have a good relationship, recommending the signing of Mohamed Salah when he was playing for Basel."
He added: "I told him it was essential to sign Salah because he would become one of the best players in the world. Levy replied that he was monitoring the player, and I believe he now regrets not signing him."
Continuing about Marmoush before Tottenham acted on his advice during the current summer transfer window, he said: "I sent the same message to Levy a year and a half ago, asking him to monitor Omar Marmoush, and I assured him that he would become among the best players in the world, but I don't think the club moved to sign him."
Marmoush had joined Manchester City from Frankfurt in January 2025 for £59 million, scoring 16 goals in 16 matches played.
Marmoush will become Tottenham's sixth or seventh signing, as the club is also working to officially announce the acquisition of Savinho, following the signings of Tonali, Van Hecke, Fernandez, Andy Robertson, and Marcus Senesi.
