Ali Jamgoz, a member of the board of directors of the Turkish club Konyaspor, revealed the developments of his club's negotiations to contract with Imam Ashour, Al-Ahly's midfielder, during the current summer transfer period.
Konyaspor had submitted an initial offer a few days ago worth 3 million dollars, but Al-Ahly rejected it, especially since it needs the player's services as well as the weakness of the financial offer.

Jamgoz said in exclusive statements to "Batoulat": "We do not want Omar Fayed at all, and Fenerbahce did not offer him to us, we only want Imam Ashour".
He added regarding the negotiations with Al-Ahly: "We raised our offer to sign Imam Ashour from Al-Ahly for 4.25 million dollars, and Al-Ahly's denial of the offer is strange, they should look at the club's official email".
The Konyaspor board member continued Konyaspor: "This is our final offer to sign Imam Ashour, we want to sign him and we will hold a celebration for him better than what happened to Mohamed Salah after his transfer to Trabzonspor".
He explained that his club is closely following the player's situation, saying: "We are following Imam Ashour's news moment by moment with Al-Ahly in the Spain camp, and we know from those around him that he refuses to move to the Gulf".
